ADEvantage Technology is owned and operated by ADEvantage Technology, Inc., an Oregon corporation (“we,” “ADEvantage Technology,” or “us”). We are a third-party service provider. We support the right to privacy, including the rights of individuals to control the dissemination and use of personal data that describes them, their personal choices, or life experiences. Thus, we have adopted this Privacy Policy to inform you of ADEvantage Technology’s activities with respect to the collection, maintenance, and transfer of personal information by ADEvantage Technology. We take the privacy of individuals very seriously. Therefore, we endeavor to provide you all information regarding our identity, how we use personal information that may be collected and how to contact us with respect to personal information. We also inform you of all potential recipients of the personal information. We do not use any personal information for purposes beyond those stated.

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us.

As stated above, ADEvantage Technology is owned and operated by ADEvantage Technology, Inc. ADEvantage Technology (“ADEvantage Technology” or the “Software”) is an inspection management software. You can contact us by linking to the Contact Us location.

2. What is “Personal Information”?

“Personal Information” means information that specifically identifies a person, such as a name, birthday, phone number, address, personal e-mail address, etc. It also means information about that person’s activities or location when directly linked to personally identifiable information. Personal information may also include demographic information (e.g., employer, job title) when such information is linked to other personal information that identifies you.

3. Personal Information: Collection and Use.

3.1. Collection. ADEvantage Technology may receive and process general information about individuals who are ADEvantage Technology customers and, in some instances, individuals who are not ADEvantage Technology customers.

3.2. Personal Data. ADEvantage Technology may collect limited identification and contact information from individuals on a voluntary basis (e.g., people seeking additional information or quotes). Such information is provided voluntarily by you and is used by ADEvantage Technology to enable contact with you in response to your orders, requests, or inquiries. When you register to set up a ADEvantage Technology account, we collect information about you and/or your organization. For example, we may collect, during registration, your name, e-mail address, company name, mailing address and other information relevant to properly setting up your account. We may also use your contact information to send you information about the Software, such as updates, new features, etc. (unless you have opted out). We regard this information as confidential and do not use it for non-ADEvantage Technology purposes, sell it to other parties, or disclose it to any third party (except for the express purpose of being able to deliver the Software). Upon written request and if local law so requires, you may be allowed access to your personal information, if any, collected by ADEvantage Technology; you may request that information be corrected or oppose processing of the information. If problems or concerns are encountered, you may contact us by linking to the Contact Us location and request assistance. If you object to the processing of information as detailed in this Privacy Policy, you should not use ADEvantage Technology or our web site.

3.3. Information Retention. ADEvantage Technology retains personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

3.4. IP Addresses. When you request pages from ADEvantage Technology’s web site, our servers may log your IP address in order to improve site administration. This information, along with the other personal information listed above, may also be used to produce usage statistics to help us to better meet the needs of users and determine specific interests (such as by making popular features easier to find, getting rid of features that few people use, or anticipating features people may wish to have).

3.5. Cookies. In our effort to improve the ADEvantage Technology experience, we may use cookies to provide pages and features that are most compatible with individuals’ preferences. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a browser when an individual visits a web site. Cookies do not identify the individual personally; they identify and track browser settings, preferences, or features. When an individual returns to the site, the individual’s browser sends the cookie to our web server and/or the third party’s server.

3.6. Third Parties. Third parties that are users of ADEvantage Technology and/or their organizations may also collect and store data about you on the Software. However, we do not exercise control over or monitor their use or collection of the data entered by them.

3.7. Children’s Privacy. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

4. Sharing of Personal Information.

4.1. Software Providers. We may use other companies, agents or contractors (“Software Providers”) to perform services on our behalf or to assist us with the provision of services to you. For example, we may engage Software Providers to assist in routing requests for help, or managing responses to user surveys. In the course of providing such services, these Software Providers may have access to your personal or other information. We do not authorize them to use or disclose your personal information except in connection with providing their services.

4.2. Third‐Party Links. ADEvantage Technology’s web site is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party sites. For your own protection, you should review the policies of other sites to ensure they meet your personal expectations of privacy.

4.3. Legal Requirements. We may disclose personal information that we believe we are lawfully authorized or required to do so, or that is necessary to comply with the law or with legal process or authorities (such as to respond to any claims, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ADEvantage Technology, our clients, our team, or the public).

4.4. Transfer. We may disclose or transfer personal information as part of, or during negotiations of, any sale of company assets, merger, financing or acquisition where personal information may be transferred as a business asset of ADEvantage Technology.

5. How Do We Protect Your Information?

Your privacy is important to us. We have implemented reasonable security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of your personal Information. All electronic communication between your web browser or mobile device and our servers is protected and encrypted via SSL (HTTPS). Your password is encrypted before it is stored in our database. We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption and physical access controls to our buildings and files. ADEvantage Technology uses commercially reasonable efforts to comply with this Privacy Policy but cannot guarantee error-free performance under this Privacy Policy. We will take prompt corrective action if we learn of any failure to comply with the Privacy Policy. We will not be liable for any incidental, indirect, consequential or punitive damages or for loss of profit or opportunity, loss of use, or other financial loss arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy. To protect the confidentiality of personal information, you must keep your password confidential and not give it to any other person. Do not share your ADEvantage Technology account. You are responsible for any use of the Software by any person using your password.

6. Online Privacy Policy Only

This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through our website and mobile applications. It does not apply to information collected offline.

7. Rights of California Residents.

7.1. If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

7.1.1. Right to Know: You have the right to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

7.1.2. Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

7.1.3. Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information, if applicable.

7.1.4. Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights under the CCPA and CPRA.

7.2. Exercising Your Rights:

7.2.1. To exercise your rights under the CCPA and CPRA, you can contact us by linking to the Contact Us location.

7.2.2. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request, which may require you to provide additional information to confirm your identity.

7.2.3. We will respond to your request within the timeframes required by law.

7.3. Authorized Agent:

7.3.1. You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf under the CCPA and CPRA. To do so, please provide written authorization to your designated agent, and ensure that your agent is able to verify their identity and authority to act on your behalf.

8. Privacy Policy Changes.

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time. Because we do not use personal information except as explained above, we are not in a position to notify each user of material changes in this Policy. You may periodically check this Privacy Policy to remain informed of any changes.

9. Effective Date.

This version of the Privacy Policy became effective on April 16, 2024.
